Team Houndoom

Sooooo.... I wanted to get something done today, but I didn't want anything super labor intensive.  (I'm currently sick, so it was getting difficult to see my sketches through watery eyes)  I decided I should at least get some more color practice done, so I shuffled through my old files to see if I had any decent unfinished lineart that I could do something with.  I found this one from several months ago, and I thought, "Eh, why not!"  Just some quick and dirty colors, with a silly simple background.  I'm sort of going through a weird phase of mixing soft and hard-edged shade layers, which is fun but not very painterly. 

This is from back when I played through Pokemon Conquest, which I can't say I'm a big fan of.  The gameplay was kind of wanting, but I liked the idea of it, and I loved the character art.  This is a Houndoom-based warlord that I doodled, liked, and did lineart for.  Because you really can't lose with Houndoom.  Just sayin'.
